26 Now (A)David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. 27 (B)And the [a]time which he reigned over Israel was forty years; in Hebron he reigned seven years and [b]in Jerusalem thirty-three years.

Death of David

28 Then he died in (C)a good old age, (D)full of days, riches and glory; and his son Solomon became king in his place.
